Shipping Policy

We ship from Sacramento, California. FedEx services will be used on most packages unless otherwise specified at time of check out by customer. Use the chart below to calculate the delivery time from our Sacramento facility to your chosen destination. For a more rapid delivery with guaranteed times the following shipping methods are available:

FedEx Express Saver - 3 business days- M-F plus the day your gift is shipped (not including Sat, Sun or holidays).

FedEx 2 Day- 2 Business days- M-F plus the day your gift is shipped (not including Sat, Sun or holidays). 

FedEx Overnight- 1 Business day- M-F (not including Sat, Sun or holidays). 

Please keep in mind weather conditions during the winter months can effect transit time.

Holiday Shipping Guide:
To get your gift there in time use the following dates when selecting your shipping method. Please keep in mind these dates are when they ship.
You need to allow time for your gift to be processed and made and packaged before it can ship. 
Ground: 12/15
3-Day: 12/20
2-Day: 12/21
Overnight: 12/22

FedEx Ground deliveries do not guarantee delivery times to their destinations. For faster delivery with guaranteed delivery times, use express delivery options. When ordering please keep in mind that FedEx does not offer package pick up on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays. During the peak holiday season FedEx requires additional transit time to all destinations when shipping via Ground. All delivery times are for destinations in the continental United States only.

The money-back guarantee for FedEx Ground® and FedEx Home Delivery® will be suspended temporarily for packages tendered during the 14 calendar days before Dec. 25, 2011 (Dec. 11 through Dec. 24).

Please note that once a package is picked up by FedEx we cannot take any responsibility for the item because it is out of our control. FedeEx does not guarantee delivery due to local or national weather conditions that may occur through out transit areas of your package.

*If FedEx Home delivery is not selected for a Home/Apt delivery your credit card will be charged accordingly for the correct shipping charge. 


Christmas/Holiday Orders- Orders received and confirmed by 11am PST, December 14, 2011 are guaranteed to arrive by Christmas. During our peak times your once your order is processed it may take a few days to leave our facility for shipping. Please reference the transit time chart above before selecting FedEx Ground if your package is time sensitive.

After December 14, 2011 we recommend using Express delivery to guarantee delivery prior to Christmas. 


Shipping Charges- All shipping costs are calculated automatically by our shopping cart based on the product(s) selected, their weight, size and destination. Shipping quotes are pulled right from the FedEx surver so you will only be charged actual shipping rates per FedEx.

If you would like TheGiftBasketStop.com to use a third party shipping account please specify your preference (FedEx, UPS, DSL etc) and account number in the customer comments box in final check out page. 


Order Fulfillment- Single basket orders received Monday-Thursday are guaranteed to ship the next day. Single basket orders received on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be shipped the next business day.  Please note that it might take longer during peak seasons to process and ship the orders. 


Multiple Orders- Our shopping cart is equipped with the ability to process multiple orders to different addresses. If you are ordering 2 or more items, simply click the "Ship to multiple addresses" check-box at the initial checkout screen and continue to process your order. Enter one or your recipients addresses along with checking the "Ship to multiple addresses" and once you click continue it the shopping cart will take you to an address book page to enter all of your recipient’s. After all recipient information is entered continue your order. Once you are on the checkout page that shows all the gift baskets you are ordering select the correct recipient for each gift basket. 


Incorrect or Changing the delivery information- We will be happy to make any changes or corrections to your order as long as it is not already in transit. Please call The Gift Basket Stop immediately at 1-888-4theGBS (888-484-3427) for delivery address changes. We will need your order number along with your daytime and evening phone numbers to facilitate the process.

Incorrect shipping information may result in your package not being delivered on the designated day or being shipped back to our Sacramento facility with additional transit time. Please be sure you provide us with a complete and correct recipient address.

FedEx charges a minimum address correction fee of $10.00 on Ground shipments and $15.00 on Express shipments for any address corrections once they pick up from our facility. The cost of any address corrections and/or reship fees on products due to incorrect or incomplete address information is the sender's responsibility and the additional fee's will be charged to your credit card.

The Gift Basket Stop is not responsible for additional transit time and/or additional cost do to recipient information not being complete or incorrect. Please double check all the shipping information entered carefully before completing your order.  


Can I ship a gift basket anywhere?  We can not ship items to PO Boxes, foreign or international addresses at this time from our online checkout. Please call The Gift Basket Stop toll-free at 1-888-4theGBS (1-888-484-3427) to place your order for these listed destinations. 


Can I ship a gift to Hawaii and Alaska? We do ship to Hawaii and Alaska, but please choose either FedEx 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air service since FedEx Ground service is not always available to these areas. FedEx does charge additional air cost on all orders submitted with Ground Shipping to these areas and your credit card will be automatically charge the additional FedEx charges. Extra charges will be billed separately. 


 
Can I ship a gift to a APO-FPO address? Yes, we can ship your gift to an APO-FPO address by calling The Gift Basket Stop toll-free at 1-888-4theGBS (888-484-3427) to place your order by phone.
 

Where do your gift baskets ship from? Most of our gift baskets ship from our facility in Sacramento, CA. Fruit Gift Baskets Ship from an orchard in Hoodriver Oregon.


Chocolates- During the summer months (May - September) special precautions are necessary to prevent melting of chocolate products. We strongly suggest choosing 2 Day Express as your shipping method during the summer months. We want the gift basket to arrive without chocolates being melted and we do not guarantee any basket being shipped other than 2 Day Express. Keep in mind that Cinnamon Stirs, Coffee Stir Spoons, Sourdough Truffles, and Truffles do contain chocolate. 


Shipping Wine & Champagne- Due to the alcoholic content of wine and champagne baskets, an adult signature is required upon delivery. Baskets cannot be shipped directly to the following states due to legal restrictions: AZ, FL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, NC, ND, NY, OK, PA, or TN. However, TheGiftBasketStop.com has vendors in all of these states that can hand deliver the baskets. Substitutions and Out-of-Stock Merchandise- In those rare unforeseen instances when product demand is higher than our supply of a particular item or product within a Gift Basket design, we reserve the right to replace or substitute items, following attempts to contact you via email and gain your consent. Please remember that our baskets are not mass-produced. Each Gift Basket is individually created with you in mind.
