How many wine clubs does The Gift Basket Stop offer?
We know there are many different levels of wine enjoyment so we offer four different wine clubs. The California Wine Club offers a variety of different wines from the California wine region, The Beginners wine club for those that are starting to enjoy wine and would like to taste new wines on a month to month basis along with the Wine Connoisseur Club and the Elite Club for those who enjoy a great glass of new and familiar wines from many different regions!
What does it cost to join?
There is no obligation to join and membership is free! You may cancel your membership at any time.
What benefits do members receive?
Besides wine club shipments at a discount, members are entitled to many benefits including discounts on additional wine purchases and merchandise orders. There are also several wine club "members only" promotions throughout the year that you will be invited to take advantage of.
How do automatic shipments work?
Members automatically receive shipments based on the wine club you choose. Your credit card on file is charged prior to each shipment and you will be notified by email of impending shipments. We will try to accommodate any special shipping requirements you may have. You may cancel at any time as indicated below.
What is automatically charged to my credit card?
Included in the charge placed on your credit card for the automatic shipments is the cost of the wine less your member discount, plus applicable tax and shipping. Shipments will be automatically billed to your Visa, MasterCard Discover or American Express. All credit card information is processed on Verisign secure site.
What if my credit card is not approved for a shipment?
You will receive a notice asking you to contact us to update your credit card information so that we can process the shipment you missed. With an approved credit card you will then receive your follow-up wine shipment.
How do I place an order for wine?
Members can place orders Monday thru Friday during normal business hours by contacting a Wine Club representative toll-free 888- 4theGBS or emailing wineclub@thegiftbasketstop.com and anytime online at http://www.thegiftbasketstop.com. Our knowledgeable staff can answer all your questions about available wines and help fill your order. As a Wine Club Member, all of your mailing, shipping and credit card information is conveniently on file and can be used for your orders.
How do I give a Wine Club membership at The Gift Basket Stop.com as a gift?
It's as simple as filling out a Wine Club signup form with your information in the mailing and credit card fields and the gift recipient's information in the shipping fields. The automatic shipments will be billed to your credit card. You can designate a gift to be either ongoing or to continue until the number of gift shipments you indicate have been sent. Each gift shipment has a gift card included to show your generosity that will not be forgotten.
How do I change my membership information (address, phone, credit card, etc.)?
Contact a Wine Club representative using the above contact information. Please notify us promptly of any address or credit card changes so that you can receive your wines with minimum inconvenience.
What if I'm not home when they try to deliver my shipment?
The delivery agent will either make two more attempts or will leave notice that a delivery was attempted and ask you to make re-delivery arrangements. We strongly recommend using a business address for your shipments if there will not be anyone 21 or over at the delivery address since wine shipments require the signature of a person over 21. If this is an issue for you, please contact us to discuss alternatives.
What if my shipment could not be delivered and was "returned to sender"?
Contact a Wine Club representative by calling 888-4theGBS or emailing wineclub@thegiftbasketstop.com and re-shipment arrangements can be made -- or we will contact you to make new arrangements.
Why can't wine shipments be sent to every state?
Due to restrictive legislation regarding the direct shipment of wines into particular states, The Gift Basket Stop can only ship wine directly to the following states: CA, CO, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NM, NV, SC, OR, TX, WA, WI, WV, WY.
We are also currently able to ship wine club shipments via a special distribution system compliant with individual state regulations to AZ, CT, DC, FL, IN, MI, NJ, and NY. Any applicable sales tax for the state of California will be added to your total. These indirect shipments can take 3-4 weeks.
Wine shipping regulations are in a state of flux and we may be able to ship to your state in the future. Please contact us and we can hold your information on file to contact you when shipping is allowed to your location.
How do I cancel or suspend my membership? How can I rejoin?
Contact one our wine club representatives at The Gift Basket Stop.com by calling 888-4theGBS, or emailing wineclub@thegiftbasketstop.com to cancel, suspend or reinstate your membership. If you plan to be away for an extended period, we can arrange to hold your wine, ship your wine to an alternate address or storage facility, or suspend your membership during your absence.
You may cancel at any time. Members are responsible for notifying a Wine Club representative of their intent to cancel. We confirm all cancellations in writing or by telephone to ensure that your membership is closed. Upon canceling, there will be no further obligation except for wine shipped prior to receipt of the member's request to cancel.
